Avast Ultimate Review
Avast Ultimate is a security application that has an impressive detection rate and a variety of additional features. Its malware scan scored 100 percent in my tests. Additionally, its web protection blocked websites that posed as phishing sites that were able to bypass Chrome’s and Firefox’s default security. Other features include a Rescue Disk and a secure browser to use for online banking and shopping. Advanced tracking blockers are also included.
The user interface of the suite is user-friendly. The main screen displays icons that clearly describe the functions of each tool. The color scheme of Avast is orange, white, and blue. It’s easy to read and pleasing to the eye.
In the Explore menu, you’ll access more in-depth controls for each tool, including custom scans, boot-time scanning and an automatic updater. You can also save certain types of scans in the “Scan Center”, so you can run them at a later date.
As one of the more advanced features, Avast’s antivirus can prevent ransomware attacks by monitoring your system for suspicious activity and then encrypting any avira files that might have been targeted. It can identify trojan horses (malicious programs that disguise themselves as legitimate software that get into your computer) and prevent them from running.
Avast offers 24/7 email, phone and live chat support. The free versions of the product are backed by a vast community of experts and knowledge and paid plans come with advanced features such as identity protection unlimited VPN, USB protection and patch management.
